Drawing Angles

We can also use a PROTRACTOR to draw angles of an exact measure. 
Follow these simple steps to draw angles: 
  1. Use the straight edge of the protractor to drawn one ray (arm). 
  2. Place the center of the protractor on the endpoint. 
  3. Line up the ray with the 0°mark. 
  4. Find the degree mark for the zise angle that youa re going to draw and place a pencil mark there. 
  5. Use the straight edge to connect the mark you drew and the endpoint of the first ray. 
Watch the video at the top of this page to see an angle being drawn.  Note the video uses a ruler instead of the straight edge side of the protractor to make the rays. 


Use these steps to practice drawing angles here. 
You do not need to draw the rays as this is already one for you.  Just be sure to line them up on the protractor correctly.
